  • Build strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, and other customers.

  • Conduct customer consultations and develop solutions based on customer needs, preferences, budget, and timeline.

  • Travel to job sites to take measurements and gather information for design layouts.

  • Create accurate kitchen and bath designs by hand or using design software.

  • Prepare pricing, product selections, presentations, and supporting materials.

  • Revise designs and presentations as needed to help close sales.

  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and promptly follow up on leads, consultations, and presentations.

  • Track sales opportunities and identify reasons projects are won or lost.

  • Work toward established sales, margin, follow-up, and customer-service goals.

Lead Generation & Business Development

  • Generate new business through referrals, networking, community involvement, outreach, showroom events, and follow-up with past and prospective customers.

  • Develop lead-generation activities, track results, and convert qualified leads into consultations and sales opportunities.

  • Build and maintain a strong personal sales pipeline.

Order & Customer Service

  • Prepare and submit accurate cabinet orders for production.

  • Initiate written job changes as needed.

  • Review and audit cabinet order acknowledgements for accuracy.

  • Follow orders through delivery and service to ensure an excellent customer experience.

  • Work with design, production, delivery, installation, and service teams to resolve customer and operational issues.

Leadership & Showroom Operations

  • Develop a strong understanding of showroom operations, including staffing, sales-floor coverage, lead distribution, order flow, inventory, displays, and performance measures.

  • Balance personal sales responsibilities with supporting the showroom team.

  • Model effective selling behaviors, company standards, and customer-service expectations.

  • Coach employees through observation, questions, and constructive feedback.

  • Support employee onboarding and reinforce sales and customer-service processes.

  • Communicate priorities and help reinforce accountability for follow-up and results.

  • Serve as manager on duty when assigned.

  • As proficiency and performance are demonstrated, take on increasing responsibility for daily showroom operations, including opening and closing procedures, lead assignment, sales-floor coverage, visual presentation standards, and team communication.

Management Development

  • Develop proficiency in management-level administrative and financial responsibilities.

  • Learn and utilize QuickBooks.

  • Learn commission calculations and reporting, invoice preparation and review, payment processing, account reconciliation, financial reporting, and related financial controls.

  • Build the knowledge and leadership skills necessary to advance into a Selling Manager role.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational, college, or sales training preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in consultative retail sales, showroom sales, design sales, or a related customer-facing environment.
