What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint Sprayer position at Showplace Cabinetry?
Position Summary:
Perform all tasks involved in creating quality products. Apply toner, sealers , varnish, solvents and stains to indicated orders, follow demonstrated instructions, inspect own work process carefully, maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition that follows prescribed safety regulations, use appropriate handling methods for the disposal of hazardous materials and wastes, and possess the ability to interchange between various positions to allow variation.
Essential Functions:
Other duties may be assigned, requested, or directed.
Continue previous responsibilities as assigned, apply sealer, toner, and top coats to products, handle hazardous materials and hazardous wastes, decatalyze and catalyze properly, repair minor defects in product and finish department equipment.
Equipment/Machinery/Tools Used:
Spray guns, spray booth, spray pumps, respirators
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of wood species and stain, developed spraying technique, spray gun settings, ability to work at a fast pace and with little or no supervision, ability to maintain and adjust air and fluid pressure, ability to read and interpret order forms or instructions for each component, ability to communicate with employees regarding work-related questions or concerns.
