Summary of Position
Responsible for maintaining a clean, welcoming, and organized public areas while assisting guests and supporting hotel staff. This role helps ensure guests have a positive first impression and comfortable experience when entering or waiting in the hotel.

Qualifications and Skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Must be detailed -oriented in cleaning public areas
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback and guidance
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemical safety
- Must be able to work various schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality or housekeeping is a plus
- 6 months of Housekeeping supervisory experience in a hotel environment
- Bilingual preferred but not required
Duties and Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean lobby, public areas, restrooms, hallways, stairwells and elevators which includes vacuuming, dusting, polishing, furniture and decor, cleaning/sanitizing surfaces and waste removal.
- Stock supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well organized at all times.
- Check all equipment prior to and after use to ensure that it is in good working order
- Greet and respond to all hotel guests efficiently and in an appropriately friendly manner
- Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas and public areas.
- Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors.
- Polish and clean mirrors, floors and elevator doors.
- Assist shampooers with the relocation of furniture.
- Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to the Safety/Security department.
- Provide instruction/guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations.
- Support the department in any area that will maintain the building and guest service to hotel standards.
- Must be ready to step in and support coworkers and team as needed to ensure efficient operation.
- Perform duties, special assignments and projects as requested by management.
- Attend meetings/training as required by management.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager or Director of Housekeeping.
