RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the duties within this job description.
- This position owns the whole process from taking orders from distributors, placing orders to our factories, and shipping containers to distributors on time.
- This position requires interaction between various departments located in Menlo, GA as well as global headquarters in Himeji, Hyogo Pref., Japan in order to ship our products from our factories in Malaysia, Vietnam, and Guatemala.
- Analyze and collect sales data, monitor Menlo inventory levels, and forecast future inventory needs.
- Plan Menlo shipments from order placement to customs clearance and delivery, while maintaining efficient inventory levels.
- Coordinate with factories to ensure optimum quantities of product is loaded in containers.
- Manage backorder situations and work with factories to avoid shortages of inventory.
- Arrange drop shipment orders direct to customers from factories.
- Coordinate shipping and customs-related matters among all stakeholders in Menlo teams, Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Guatemala.
- Provide advance shipping forecasts and coordinate with freight forwarders to ensure vessel space on a periodic basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Spanish language is not mandatory but is a plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Willing to learn a general knowledge of our product, international trading and shipping.
- Must have excellent communication skills for collaborating with global colleagues to achieve the company objective.
- Open to business travel both domestically and internationally.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
