Job Overview
Trilux Management is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all facilities. This part-time role covers retail dispensary, cultivation, and manufacturing environments and is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks that ensure the smooth daily operation of our spaces. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem-solver who takes pride in a well-maintained environment and understands the unique compliance and operational demands of the cannabis industry.
Responsibilities
- Routine Maintenance and Repairs
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems across all facility types.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs submitted by facility staff.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, and basic electrical systems.
- Perform basic carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs to maintain spaces to brand standards.
- Maintain and operate all maintenance equipment and tools safely and in good working order.
- Preventive Maintenance and Inspections
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules across all locations.
- Maintain grow room environmental systems, including lighting, irrigation, climate control, and ventilation.
- Monitor and maintain security systems, locks, and access control equipment.
- Compliance, Safety, and Documentation
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable state cannabis regulations, OSHA standards, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment documentation.
- Report safety hazards, structural concerns, or compliance risks to the appropriate supervisor immediately.
- Order and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and replacement parts; track usage accurately.
- Facilities Support
- Assist with renovation, improvement, and build-out projects as directed.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs when needed.
- Perform groundskeeping, landscaping, snow removal, and ice management duties as required.
- Clean and maintain common areas, restrooms, and workspaces to company standards.
- Assist with setup and breakdown for company events and meetings.
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls when scheduled for on-call duty.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certification preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in facilities maintenance, building trades, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems at a basic to intermediate level.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks in varies environments.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state cannabis licensing requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Preferred
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as cannabis, healthcare, food production or pharmaceuticals.
- Familiarity with cultivation or manufacturing facility environments.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or work order software.
This role requires work across multiple facility types, including retail dispensary locations, indoor cultivation facilities, and cannabis manufacturing environments. The technician will be exposed to varying temperatures, humidity levels, and physical conditions depending on the work location. Protective equipment may be required in certain areas. Some evening, weekend, or on-call availability is expected based on operational needs and scheduling.
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
