Print Production Specialist
Position Summary
We seek to hire a positive, energetic, and self-motivated Print Production Specialist who is committed to delivering high-quality print materials with a 24 hour or less lead time. This position will assist production leads and work between multiple departments to ensure orders are completed on time and at the highest quality possible. This individual will be trained to operate and maintain all digital, roll-fed and flatbed printers, as well as numerous pieces of bindery equipment including a CNC cutter. Candidates must possess a high attention to detail, strong work ethic, and have the flexibility to move and work in multiple departments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain digital, roll-fed and flatbed printers.
- Operate and maintain all bindery equipment.
- Accurately organize and store all production materials including paper, roll-fed and rigid medias, toners and other ink sets, and other printing supplies.
- Operate and program CNC cutter to finish products per client specifications.
- Operate and maintain finishing equipment including, laminators, book binders, grommeters, and industrial sewing machine.
- Program, maintain, and operate automated bindery equipment.
- Utilize industry software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Onyx, Enfocus, Pitstop, and other software to print and procuse customer orders.
- Prep and apply vinyl graphics to signs, vehicles, and windows both in shop or on location.
- Troubleshoot variances in materials and make machine adjustments accordingly.
- Preform quality checks of all products produced to ensure companies high standards are maintained.
- Update print management software to ensure orders are completed in a timely a manor.
- Identify and comply with all department procedures to increase production efficiencies and help maintain a 24-hour turnaround time on standard products.
- Notify department leads of insufficient stock levels to ensure necessary materials are on hand, avoiding delays for customer.
- Perform routine maintenance and ensure proper cleanliness of all printers, cutters, work station, and production area.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Stay up to date on the latest printing and bindery technologies and materials by networking with other professionals and vendors.
- Take initiative to go above & beyond the job description for the betterment of the company.
Technical Qualifications
Candidates should have previous experience with operating digital printers, roll fed or flatbed printers, and bindery equipment.
Candidates should have previous experience with operating CNC cutters.
Candidates must possess an ability to use basic hand and power tools for occasional custom fabrication.
Candidates should have experience with maintaining shop equipment, as well as troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical failures.
Previous experience with vector-based software such as Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw is preferred.

(Preferred) At least two years of experience working in the printing industry or in a production/quality control environment.
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs and able to stand for 6 hours.
Must maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Hours
Monday – Friday: 8:00 to 5:30 pm
Candidates may occasionally work nights or weekends, some over time as workload permits.
