Role Description
The Landscape Construction Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dover, DE. This role oversees landscape construction projects from planning through completion, including coordinating crews, managing schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project plans, ordering materials, assigning tasks, monitoring job site progress across Delaware, and ensuring proper installation of hardscapes, plantings, irrigation, and related features. The Landscape Construction Manager communicates with clients, vendors, and team members to address project updates, resolve issues, and maintain high-quality standards. The role also includes enforcing safety protocols, conducting site inspections, training crew members, and supporting continuous improvement of construction processes.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in landscape construction management, including supervising crews, coordinating multiple projects, and overseeing hardscape, softscape, and irrigation installations.
- Strong project planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, materials, and equipment for residential and commercial job sites.
- Knowledge of landscaping best practices, site grading, drainage, plant selection, turf care, and the proper use of construction tools and machinery.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and vendors, provide clear instructions, and maintain a positive, professional work environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including familiarity with OSHA guidelines, safe equipment operation, and enforcement of company safety policies.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform site visits, inspections, and hands-on support as needed.
- Relevant experience in landscaping, construction, or a related field; formal training or certification in landscape construction or project management is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; eligibility to operate company vehicles and equipment as required.
