What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder/Fabricator position at ShorQuip Supply, Inc.?
This welding position is vital to maintaining the safety, reliability, and high quality of our equipment inventory. We are looking for a dependable, experienced individual who takes pride in their work and works well as part of a team.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Repairing and fabricating steel and aluminum equipment
- Cutting, grinding, and torching steel and aluminum members
- Inspecting equipment and identifying damaged or worn components
- Determining the appropriate repairs and completing them safely and efficiently
- Fitting and fabricating components as required
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Working closely with other team members to complete repairs and projects
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Structural welding experience
- Aluminum MIG welding experience
- Fitting and fabrication experience
- Forklift experience
- Plasma cutting experience
- Drill press experience
- Oxygen/acetylene torch experience
- Ability to use grinders, saws, torches, and other fabrication equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to take on a variety of tasks
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening is mandatory (Please do not apply if you cannot pass a drug screening)
