Job Summary:
Shores Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) to join our team! As a PCA, you will provide routine direct nursing care to our residents/patients, following successful completion of a paid online training course. We offer on-the-job training, paid training, and support to help you become a Certified CNA.
Responsibilities:
Treat all residents and patients fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect
Provide direct hands-on care in accordance with treatment plans as directed by the Nurse Manager
Answer resident call lights to address specific needs
Assist with general activities of daily living and accompany residents to various activities and functions
Demonstrate proper infection control practices/policies (including handwashing)
Aide in development of resident treatment plans and complete required care documentation accurately and in a timely manner
Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
Facilitate social visits to room-bound residents via FaceTime, Phone, or Skype
Demonstrate a passion for caring with co-workers, residents, families, and visitors
Requirements:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
High School diploma or GED
Ability to read and communicate at an adequate level to essential job duties
Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
Caregivers must complete our new hire orientation
Must be able to pass level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status
Work Schedule:
Shift options: Mornings (7am - 3pm), Afternoon (3pm - 11pm), and Nights (11pm - 7am) shifts available to choose from
