Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform care plans.
- Administer medications accurately following physician orders.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) system to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations including specimen collection/processing, medical imaging coordination, and laboratory testing.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology.
- Skilled in patient assessment techniques including vital signs measurement and physical examinations.
- Expertise in medication administration methods such as injections, venipuncture, IV insertion/infusion, and sterile technique.
- Excellent communication skills for assessments and working effectively with adolescents and their families.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure safety during all procedures.
