Operations Manager
Shoreline Transportation is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Operations Department as a Operations Manager. We provide trucking services for local customers. This position would be carrying out the responsibilities of the Operations Department and ensuring the company accuracy in its day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
- Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles, such as Commercial Motor Vehicles.
- Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
- Available to support, manage and direct investigations to verify and resolve customer complaints or needs as needed.
- Serve as contact person for all customers or shippers within assigned territories.
- Collaborate with other managers and staff members to coordinate and plan for driver requirements.
- Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
- Work directly with maintenance management and staff to ensure repairs and maintenance to equipment, vehicles, and facilities are being met.
- Report daily to executive management.
Requirements:
- Currently live within a 30-mile radius of Ellabell, GA.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management and logistics planning.
- Experience with the logistics planning of Automotive Manufacturing a plus.
- Strong Computer Skills a must: Microsoft office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills.
- Monday through Friday & two Saturdays a month when the plant is running.
- Good organizational and motivational skills.
- Awareness of internal and external customer needs.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
