Status: Full Time/Salary/Exempt Supervisor: Clinic Manager

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5PM, with some weekends and evenings required
Position Description:
The primary responsibilities of the Athletic Trainer is to assist patients in the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of injuries and medical conditions related to physical activity. This position will primarily serve in a clinical setting, with occasional outreach events for our sports medicine collaborative in local physician office and school settings. This role will deliver hands-on care, assist in orthopedic procedures, and perform motion analysis testing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Delivers comprehensive athletic training services—including prevention, assessment, emergency care, treatment, and rehabilitation—for student athletes in collaboration with Holland Hospital.
· Supports our community collaborative by attending outreach activities and sporting events and marketing our services
· Collaborates with athletes, families, coaches, and medical teams to ensure a seamless and safe return-to-play process.
· Assists with evaluations, splinting, casting, and therapeutic education under supervision of the provider
· Performs pre and post operative assessments and implements treatment plans including therapeutic exercise and mobility training
· Performs and interprets motion analysis using DARI motion analysis system
· Educate patients and families on diagnoses, post-treatment care, activity restrictions, and long-term wellness strategies.
· Assist with injections, wound care, ultrasound-guided procedures, and a variety of orthopedic interventions.
· Documents patient interactions in electronic health record, with accuracy
· Assist in the development and implementation of the expansion of our programs
Skills, Experience, & Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Athletic Training, or related field strongly preferred
· Graduation from a CAATE accredited athletic training program required
· Board of Certification (BOC) required
· Minimum of 3 years experience as an athletic trainer
· Clinical experience strongly preferred
· Michigan Athletic Training License (or license-eligible) required and must be in good standing
· Proven success in successful patient interaction
· Highly organized, with strong communication skills
· Proficient in electronic health records and general computer applications
Working & Environmental Conditions:
· Primarily in an indoor clinical/office setting with moderate noise levels. Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds is required. Schedule flexibility is required for outreach events. The role may require prolonged periods of standing and sitting and frequent use of computer equipment. This role works closely with specialty medical equipment and exposure to biohazardous materials. This role requires the usage of personal protective equipment and requires in person attendance.
