Bartender 

Seasonal | Spring–November 2026 | Start Dates: April, May, June

Position Summary

Shoreline Sightseeing is looking for friendly, experienced Bartenders to provide beverage service aboard our Architecture Tour vessels for the 2026 season. This role is key to creating a memorable and enjoyable tour experience for our passengers. 

Your responsibilities include engaging with guests from around the world and providing exceptional, efficient, and responsible alcohol service. You will mix and serve beverages while fostering a fun and welcoming onboard atmosphere. 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with a friendly, engaging attitude 

• Maintain knowledge of drink offerings, pricing, and vessel routes

• Provide recommendations and attentive, professional guest service

• Ensure safety and responsible alcohol service in compliance with BASSET guidelines

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar 

• Collaborate with Marine Crew to support smooth operations

• Work at multiple Shoreline locations as needed

• Help create a positive, lively atmosphere aboard every tour Create a welcoming, upbeat bar atmosphere onboard

Qualifications

• Illinois BASSET certification (required)

• Minimum one year of bartending experience

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Strong hospitality and communication skills

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

• Flexible availability (including evenings, weekends, holidays)

• Work in varying weather conditions

• Energetic, personable, and calm under pressure

• Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing in compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations
