Lawn Care Technician
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lawn Care Technician to join our growing team. This role focuses on fertilization, pest control, and overall turf health for residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality work, enjoys working outdoors, and delivers excellent customer service.
Pay
- $24 – $30 per hour, based on experience and licensing
Responsibilities
Turf Health & Treatment
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and soil enhancers safely and effectively
- Diagnose lawn issues including weeds, disease, and insect damage
- Mix and apply products according to label and safety guidelines
Soil & Plant Care
- Perform aeration, seeding, overseeding, and topdressing
- Promote healthy turf growth through proper treatment techniques
Customer Interaction
- Evaluate customer properties and provide recommendations for improved lawn health
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients
Safety & Equipment Operation
- Operate company vehicles and equipment safely
- Use tools such as spreaders, blowers, and hand equipment
- Follow all company and regulatory safety standards
Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) turfgrass, lawn diseases, insects, soil conditions, and irrigation
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift 50 lbs regularly
- Equipment Skills: Experience with lawn care tools and machinery preferred
- Communication: Strong customer service and communication skills
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Licensing
- Valid pesticide applicator license in Connecticut and/or Rhode Island preferred
- Willing to train and assist the right candidate in obtaining licenses
Work Environment
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Daily travel to multiple residential and commercial properties
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
