Role Description This full-time, on-site role for Harley-Davidson Certified Technicians is based in West Long Branch, NJ. Technicians perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and complex repairs on Harley-Davidson motorcycles in accordance with factory standards and safety guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting inspections, completing repair orders accurately, performing test rides when appropriate, and maintaining detailed service records. The role involves collaborating with service advisors, communicating clearly with customers about recommended work, and ensuring a clean, organized, and safe service area. Technicians are expected to stay current with Harley-Davidson training and service bulletins to provide high-quality, reliable service.
Qualifications
- Harley-Davidson factory certification or equivalent professional motorcycle technician training.
- Proven experience in motorcycle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair, preferably with Harley-Davidson models.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, including familiarity with electrical systems, engine repair, and use of specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, technical bulletins, and repair documentation accurately.
- Commitment to safety practices, quality workmanship, and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with service team members and explaining technical issues to customers in clear terms.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to handle multiple repair orders efficiently.
- Valid motorcycle endorsement (or ability to obtain one) and comfort operating a variety of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
