Shoreline Foundation, Inc. (SFI) is an energetic, fast-paced marine General Contractor based in Hollywood, Florida whom is currently seeking an ASSISTANT CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER to join our growing team in Naples FL. The Assistant Project Manager must be familiar with the job philosophy and the business (budget, purchasing, reporting, etc.) for the project. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with the overall direction on multiple construction projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and ensure common understanding of the project scope of work, plans, specifications, schedule and budget among the various trade supervisor(s) and subcontractors.
- Assisting the Project Manager with developing and maintaining the project schedule.
- Assisting the Project Manager with selecting and negotiating with subcontractors and vendors; purchase/buy materials for assigned projects.
- Assisting the Project Manager with coordinating and facilitating job startup, progress reviews and job close-out meetings.
- Assisting the Project Manager with responding to requests for information from owner/client representatives.
- Assisting the Project Manager with preparation of Change Order cost estimates.
- Review, evaluate and manage job schedule and costs. Work closely with Shoreline Foundation, Inc. staff to resolve issues and achieve project milestones.
- Establish frequent communication to coordinate job planning as well as performance and reporting among the client, superintendent, subcontractors and the SFI business office.
PROJECT CONTROL OBJECTIVES:
- Assisting the Project Manager with ensuring that the day-to-day operations of projects are transitioned effectively from preconstruction when work commences in the field.
- Represent SFI to the Owner(s), Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Vendors and Subcontractors.
- Assisting the Project Manager with ensuring that Projects achieve budget, schedule, quality and profitability objectives.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the SFI/Owner Contract; ensuring that project achieves compliance with the contract.
- Visit sites regularly to monitor project performance and schedule
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:
- Assisting the Project Manager with Cash Management
- Assisting the Project Manager with Accounts Receivable
- Assisting the Project Manager with Monthly Project Billing
- Assisting the Project Manager with Invoice Review and approval
SCHEDULE MANAGEMENT:
- Assisting the Project Manager with development of the Baseline Schedule
- Monitor schedule performance
- Assist the project team in initiation of the Construction Plan and workflow
SAFETY MANAGEMENT:
- Champion jobsite safety effort, motivating the on-site team in the implementation of SFI Safety Program.
- Coordinate with Project Manager and Corporate Safety Officer that all projects are maintaining proper safety standards
MEETING MANAGEMENT:
- Attend all scheduled meetings necessary to monitor and manage project profitability.
- Attend weekly project staff meetings.
- Client Relationships
- If needed, attend Owner and project meetings
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in construction Management, engineering or applicable discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful assistant construction project management.
- The ability to manage and embrace change. Respond and adapt to new processes and new ways of looking at old problems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to confidently and decisively take action.
- Required to have a valid and insurable driver’s license; Preferred: OSHA 10, OSHA 30, TWIC Card.
