Truck Driver / Warehouse Team Member
Summary/Objective
This dual-role position combines responsibilities of a Truck Driver and Warehouse Team Member. The individual will perform a variety of transportation and warehouse tasks, including safe and timely delivery of goods, accurate order fulfillment, and efficient inventory management. The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and exceptional customer service.
Essential Functions
Transportation Duties:
Safely drive company trucks to deliver goods to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Perform daily Pre/Post Vehicle Inspections and maintain truck logs per company and Federal/State regulations.
Fuel, wash, and maintain vehicles as required.
Plan routes for efficient use of time and equipment.
Maintain a valid commercial driver's license and clean driving record.
Communicate with Warehouse Manager and Supervisor regarding delivery status and changes.
Inspect shipments and items for damage as needed.
Warehouse Duties
Receive, stock, and organize incoming inventory from company trucks and direct manufacturer shipments.
Prepare outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
Restock products in the warehouse daily and assist with cycle counts.
Safely operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck) and maintain valid forklift certification.
Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment, including sweeping and debris removal.
Assist customers with loading merchandise and provide exceptional customer service.
Follow all safety standards and report any incidents or concerns to the supervisor.
Requirements & Competencies
Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in warehouse operations and/or driving.
Knowledge of DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Ability to handle multiple tasks under minimal supervision and stressful conditions.
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to lift 50'80 lbs and perform tasks such as walking, bending, stooping, and climbing.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and non-conditioned warehouse space.
Occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, and vibration.
Ability to sit for long periods while driving and perform physical warehouse tasks.
Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, with ability to adjust focus.
