We are seeking an experienced, highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Coordinator to join our Prosthodontist Office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years prior experience managing financial processes, handle administrative tasks, and provide exceptional customer service to patients. This role requires proficiency in office management, dental claim submission, and strong communication skills to ensure smooth operations within a busy dental practice. The Financial Coordinator will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting front desk operations, and assisting with general office management duties.
Responsibilities
- Manage billing, invoicing, and payment processing using QuickBooks and other accounting software
- Present treatment plans and financial options to patients clearly and confidently
- Verify dental insurance benefits, submit pre-authorizations, and accurately process claims
- Support office management tasks such as filing, proofreading documents, and organizing patient files
- Provide excellent customer service through phone etiquette and professional communication
- Assist with calendar management and appointment scheduling for the dental team
- Support bookkeeping activities including reconciling accounts and tracking payments
- Ensure compliance with office policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality of patient information
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a dental office (required)
- Familiarity with cloud based software such as Carestack preferred, but not required
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
- Proficient understanding of dental insurance and billing processes
- Strong attention to detail with proofreading and data entry skills
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Comfortable discussing financial matters with patients
