An upcoming retirement has created a significant leadership opportunity at Shorehaven, a respected faith based senior living community proudly serving the Oconomowoc area since 1939.
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to serve as Assistant Director of Nursing and partner closely with our Director of Nursing in guiding the nursing department and ensuring exceptional quality care.
This is a key clinical leadership role balancing operational oversight, regulatory excellence, infection prevention, staff development, and the cultivation of a home like rehabilitative environment for our residents.

Position Overview
As Assistant Director of Nursing, you will:
- Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily clinical operations
- Support and mentor nursing leadership and staff
- Lead survey readiness efforts and uphold high standards in quality measures and regulatory compliance
- Serve as Infection Preventionist, developing and implementing infection control programs
- Act as Staff Development Coordinator, designing and delivering training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development
- Schedule and facilitate monthly staff development classes
- Collaborate with local technical programs utilizing our facility for clinical education
- Perform other duties as assigned
The Assistant Director of Nursing plays a critical role in maintaining clinical excellence while strengthening team culture and accountability.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin (required)
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience (charge nurse, unit manager, etc.)
- Working knowledge of LTC regulations, survey readiness, and quality measures
- Certification in Infection Control or completion of approved long-term care Infection Preventionist (IP) training (may be obtained during onboarding)
