We are seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Associate Financial Advisor to join our growing team.

This position is designed for an emerging advisor who wants to grow from a supporting role into a lead advisor position while serving an established client base.

The Associate Financial Advisor will work closely with senior advisors to support existing client relationships, participate in financial planning engagements, develop investment recommendations, and help deliver exceptional client experience. As experience and expertise grow, opportunities will exist to assume greater responsibility for client relationships and develop professionally into a lead advisor role.  

What You'll Do

Client Service & Relationship Management

  • Partner with senior advisors to support and service established client relationships.
  • Participate in client meetings and gradually assume increasing advisory responsibilities.
  • Build trusted relationships through proactive communication and exceptional client service.
  • Help ensure clients receive timely, accurate, and thoughtful advice aligned with their financial goals.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records by documenting client interactions, meeting notes, follow-up tasks, and service preferences to support strong relationship management and consistent client service.
  • Support Prudent Process requirements by recording annual advisory review documentation, meeting details, and client-specific discussions in approved formats to maintain complete and timely records.

Financial Planning & Investment Support

  • Assist in developing comprehensive financial plans and recommendations.
  • Gather and analyze client financial information, including retirement, insurance, tax, estate planning, and investment considerations.
  • Prepare financial projections, reports, investment reviews, and planning analyses.
  • Support portfolio reviews and investment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, CPAs, insurance professionals, and other specialists to support comprehensive client planning.

Professional Development

  • Learn and apply Shorebridge Wealth Management's client-centered wealth management philosophy.
  • Participate in ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Obtain CFP® certification if not already completed, according to firm expectations.
  • Develop the skills necessary to become a primary relationship manager and trusted advisor.

Future Growth Opportunity

This role begins with a focus on supporting established client relationships and developing planning and advisory expertise. Business development is not an immediate expectation; however, successful candidates will have opportunities over time to build professional networks, develop referral sources, and contribute to the long-term growth of the firm.

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to obtain FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 or 66 licenses within established firm timelines.
  • Strong listening and discovery skills – ability to draw out what matters most to a client and reflect it back in terms that build trust
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to client confidentiality.
  • Ability to satisfy applicable regulatory, credit, and background requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage technology, artificial intelligence (AI) tools, and financial planning software to enhance productivity, improve client outcomes, and support business objectives.
  • Ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and utilize new software platforms and digital tools as they are introduced.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, liberal arts, or a related field.
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses.
  • CFP® designation or progress toward certification.
  • Life, Health, and/or Long-Term Care insurance licenses.
  • Experience with financial planning software, CRM platforms, and spreadsheet analysis.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, etc. This position is eligible to participate in the company’s annual performance bonus program.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package which may include health, dental, vision, life, long-term disability, short-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), a Health Savings Account (HSA), and a 401k retirement savings plan. Eligibility for benefits and specific plan details are subject to the terms of the applicable benefit plans.
