Fire Alarm Technician
Shore Point Fire Protection – Wall Township, NJ
Shore Point Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and minor installation of fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA standards and manufacturer specifications. We are looking for someone with 2 plus years of experience. NICET Certification prefered.
Technicians work remotely from home and respond directly to job sites using a company take-home vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems
- Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm devices and control panels
- Complete service calls and preventative maintenance
- Assist with system renovations, upgrades, and new installations
- Work safely from ladders and aerial lifts when required
- Document work orders and inspection reports using ServiceTrade
- Maintain professional communication with customers and office staff
Requirements
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls
- Experience with fire alarm systems or low-voltage electronics
- Comfortable working from ladders and lifts
- Strong troubleshooting and electrical/electronic skills
- NICET certification preferred (must be obtained within 1 year of employment)
- ServiceTrade experience is a plus
