Shore Aquatic is a specialty aquatic plant business serving hobbyists and aquascaping enthusiasts. We grow, curate, and ship premium live aquatic plants directly to customers nationwide.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our team part-time. This hands-on position involves caring for live aquatic plants, maintaining healthy tank environments, performing quality control, and preparing orders for shipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine aquarium tank maintenance (water changes, cleaning, equipment checks)
- Monitor plant health and flag any issues (algae, rot, pests)
- Conduct quality control inspections before packing
- Pack and prepare customer orders for shipment accurately and carefully
- Label, organize, and stage outgoing packages
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to read and speak English fluently
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (light physical work)
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Strong attention to detail
- Prior packing, shipping, or fulfillment experience preferred
- Interest in aquariums or plants is a plus but not required
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
- $14.00/hour
- 15–20 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
- 1099 Independent Contractor position
- Contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
