Position Summary
Responsible for answering telephones in an upbeat, friendly manner, accommodating the guest's order request, and processing the guest's food bills according to established guidelines and instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Answer the telephone and take the order/request in a timely manner
- Dispense the order/request to the appropriate staff using the proper procedure
- Compute bill and operate cash register
- Make change, cash checks, and issue receipts
- Handle credit transactions
- Ensure accuracy of collection and disbursement of money
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of basic food and wine products
- Ability to perform basic/intermediate math skills
- Ability to operate office equipment (i.e., fax, copier, and telephone)and POS System
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests, staff, and management
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
Education:
- High School education or equivalent
