What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tire Inventory Control Specialist position at Shoppas Material Handling Ltd?

The Tire Inventory Control Associate performs a variety of functions including receiving and processing inbound and outbound tires, palletizing, pulling and filling work order demands from stock to fulfill scheduled tire services. Tire Inventory Associate is active throughout the day working independently in a warehouse/weathered environment using powered material handling equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Receives and signs off on all inbound tire containers.
- Organizes and restock tires from overflow into the Tire Cage.
- Conducts Cycle Counts of tires on shelf for inventory control.
- Inspects all tires being shipped and received, reporting any defective or damaged items.
- Responsible for following company safety rules as well as maintaining job site safety.
- Work independently to compile and fulfill orders and transfers.
- Consistently rotating tire inventory to manage shelf life.
- Accurately label and wrap all tire pallets to maximize on stock and inventory levels efficiently.
- Accurately pull correct tires for work orders based on compound and tire sizes.
- Perform house-keeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment; clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from aisles.
- Maintain and manage correct tire stocks per Tire Press Truck.
- Continuously learn about different styles, compounds and part number related tires.
- Must be age 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
- Excellent written and verbal communication is required.
- Must be able to carry out both written and oral instructions.
- Required to follow posted safety rules and safe operating procedures on forklift to ensure proper techniques, such as lifting are performed in the manner as which is described.
Physical Demands:
- Workday is a standard 8 hours, and is spent in a warehouse setting.
- The position involves a moderate amount of physical activity, and periods of standin
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs., stoop, squatting, sitting, etc.
- Temperatures in the warehouse are variable, with dramatic increases or decreases in response to the seasons.
