Job Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new leads and opportunities by specifically targeting and calling on businesses that use Critical Power. Following the documented sales strategy plan, the BDM will work within an assigned geographic area collecting specific information about businesses, whether we current serve in Motive Power or new, that have potential for Critical Power opportunities. They will work closely with the rest of the sales team as well as other department groups to ensure we have the right people involved in each new opportunity created. This position is an important member of Viking’s Team and requires excellent customer service, great attitude and the ability to communicate with internal and external customers and prospects. The BDM will also be responsible for daily operations of the assigned sales/service personnel within their region.

Essential Functions
- Generate leads and opportunities from non-designated accounts in assigned geographic area
- Find ways into businesses that we are not currently doing business with today to gather specific intel
- Sell E,F,I,M and T services to Critical Power users. (Engineer, Furnish, Install, Maintain, Testing)
- Log all leads and opportunities in CRM, populating all required fields
- Meet face to face to customers, demonstrating the value statement of Viking, promote all available products and services
- Pull together team members that will be engaged in the opportunities created
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience in sales required; experience in Critical Power
- Ability to consider all aspects of selling including: vendor relationships, profit and loss concepts, and long and short-term
- goals of the company
- Great interpersonal skills and a team player mentality
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Able to meet deadlines and highly detail oriented
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
