Who You Are
We’re looking for a Data & Analytics Lead to be one of the first members of ShopMy’s data team. You’re more than a talented analyst — you know how to unlock data’s potential, surface new data opportunities, and thrive on connecting insights to real business problems..
You are equally comfortable working in the details (SQL, BI modeling, scripting) as you are stepping back to identify business opportunities, influence product and engineering decisions, and set up systems that scale. You’re energized by ambiguity, motivated to create clarity, and excited to help define how data empowers ShopMy’s growth.
This is an individual contributor role on the Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will be expected to independently own and lead complex projects while contributing to broader team initiatives with growing consistency.
What You’ll Do
- Empower Product, Engineering, and AI with data-driven insights that guide priorities, uncover opportunities, and influence decisions
- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and models in cloud data warehouses to ensure reliable, scalable access to data
- Develop and maintain BI content — data visualizations, dashboards, and BI modeling — to drive adoption and trust across teams
- Implement monitoring and alerting to ensure data is complete, consistent, and accurate
- Automate workflows and processes across the business
- Conduct deep-dive analyses into product performance and user behavior, surfacing insights that directly impact growth and product development
- Mentor teammates and share best practices in analytics, BI, and automation
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in data & analytics, including stakeholder-facing work
- Expert SQL skills and experience working with large or complex datasets
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)
- Strong skills in data visualization and BI modeling
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, R, or JavaScript)
- Strong business acumen: able to tie data directly to business problems and product opportunities
- Comfortable working in ambiguity, balancing short-term asks with long-term strategy
- Excellent communicator with the ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences
- Motivated to be an early hire who helps define the future of data at ShopMy

We note that salary information as a general guideline only, actual compensation may vary from posting based on the offer for this role, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, key skills, education, training and business considerations.
New York Pay Range
$175,000 - $190,000 USD
The provided salary range is base salary, exclusive of bonus potential or commission and is a good faith estimate of cash compensation. ShopMy is flexible pending candidate's experience and how our business needs evolve throughout the search. Every employee of ShopMy receives equity on top of cash compensation!
