POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible to assist in ensuring teammates are paid timely and accurately. Collaborate with team to ensure payroll and reporting are completed in accordance with the Company’s payroll processing calendar and practices. Audit timecards and follow up on outstanding items to support timely payroll processing. Provide proactive teammate communication and answer payroll and benefit related questions in a timely manner. Understand Fielmann USA’s policies, systems, and procedures and maintain a high level of internal customer service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PAYROLL PROCESSING
• Complete audits in preparation for generating weekly or bi-weekly payroll
• Gather and prepare reimbursement forms pay detail for Doctors of Optometry
• Process regular payroll through ADP
• Operate the time and attendance, payroll, and HRIS systems
• Complete off-cycle processing when directed
• Prepare required reports
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
GARNISHMENTS
• Receive, set up in ADP, and prepare interrogatories/answers on garnishments
• Validate ADP garnishment calculation for accuracy
• Maintain garnishment files and payouts using queries and other research procedures
PROJECT SUPPORT
• Complete quarterly out-of-sequence payroll processing
• Prepare annual W-2 and corrected W-2 forms
• Manage records retention
• Manage tickets, emails, and department mail
BENEFITS SUPPORT
• Assist with administration of teammate benefits
• Coordinate benefits enrollment for new teammates and assist with changes for current teammates
• Maintain teammate database and files
• Ensure compliance with required benefit notices
• Answer frequently asked questions from managers and teammates relative to benefits
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• 2-year degree in human resources, accounting or equivalent work experience in human resources, accounting and payroll
• Experience with HR processes; payroll, benefits, compensation, etc.
• Solid knowledge of HR functions, policies, and procedures
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify problems and develop solutions
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work collaboratively in a matrix environment
• Able to thrive within a fast-paced environment
• Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs. Advanced proficiency in Excel

• Able to operate various office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.)

• Able to lift 10 to 20 pounds

• Able to work normal and/or extended (evenings, nights, and weekends) office hours to meet established deadlines
• Able to travel independently to support Company objectives and personal development
