Position Overview
The Business Corporate Attorney will serve as a strategic legal advisor to the executive team, helping guide the company through corporate governance, regulatory requirements, contract management, and risk mitigation. This role is ideal for someone comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment, wearing multiple hats, and partnering closely with leadership to build legal infrastructure from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, agreements, and corporate documents.
- Advise leadership on corporate governance, business strategy, and legal risks.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across lending, marketing, data privacy, and consumer finance operations.
- Support capital-raising efforts, including investor agreements, corporate structuring, and securities compliance.
- Develop internal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
- Oversee legal matters related to employment, vendor relationships, partnerships, and intellectual property.
- Provide guidance on risk management and dispute resolution.
- Stay current on evolving financial regulations and industry standards.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, compliance, finance, and executive leadership.

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active, good-standing bar membership required.
- 5 years of experience in corporate or business law (start-up or financial services experience strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of lending regulations, corporate governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience negotiating complex agreements and supporting business strategy.
- Ability to operate independently and make sound, strategic legal decisions.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
