As we scale, we are seeking a strategic and dynamic Advertising Director to lead our marketing and advertising initiatives.
Position Overview
The Advertising Director will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive advertising strategies that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and revenue growth. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep experience in multi-channel advertising, performance marketing, creative direction, and data-driven optimization. You will collaborate closely with leadership, sales, compliance, and product teams to ensure advertising efforts align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and oversee the company’s end-to-end advertising strategy across digital, social, TV, radio, print, and emerging channels.
- Build, lead, and manage an in-house advertising team or agency partners.
- Define short- and long-term advertising goals aligned with company revenue targets.
Campaign Development & Execution
- Create high-impact campaigns focused on customer acquisition for financial products.
- Oversee creative development, messaging frameworks, and brand consistency.
- Utilize both performance-based and brand-building approaches to maximize ROI.
Analytics & Optimization
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance across all channels.
- Optimize campaigns based on KPIs such as CPL, CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, and customer LTV.
- Implement A/B testing, audience segmentation, and targeting strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, sales, and compliance teams to ensure all advertising meets financial regulatory standards (FDCPA, FCRA, UDAAP, etc.).
- Partner with leadership to align budgets, forecast results, and identify growth opportunities.
Vendor & Budget Management
- Manage advertising budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and evaluate third-party tools and platforms.
- Ensure efficient allocation of spend across channels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field; MBA a plus.
- 7 years of experience in advertising, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience advertising financial products or in a highly regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok, programmatic), TV/OTT, and traditional media.
- Demonstrated success driving measurable growth in lead generation and conversions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience scaling advertising from early-stage to high-volume environments.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing automation, and attribution tools.
- Background in fintech, lending, banking, or consumer financial services.
