Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Stocking Associate to join our team in a dynamic retail store environment. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service while efficiently supporting store operations. Some weekends required.
Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with inquiries.
- Assist in stocking shelves and merchandising products to maintain an organized store layout. Moving larger items, loading and unloading, and other similar duties. Suitable strength, lifting requirements.
- Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
- Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store.
- Support supervisory staff in training new associates and ensuring adherence to store policies.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist with stock management.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for processing transactions.
- Handle cash and other payment methods responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is a plus.
- Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone is beneficial.
