Job Title: Child Care Director for Shooting Star Childcare – Elkhart, Iowa

Are you a passionate leader with experience in childcare management? Shooting Star Childcare, a play-based facility, is seeking a full-time Child Care Director to join our team in Elkhart, Iowa. Our center is dedicated to providing quality care and education in a nurturing and supportive environment. As the Child Care Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our Universal Pre-K program with North Polk Schools.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements.

-Have strong knowledge of procare and gusto
- Build strong relationships with staff, parents, and the community.
- Conduct tours, meet with families, and foster a welcoming environment.
- Perform regular classroom observations and staff evaluations.
- Develop and maintain staff schedules, and manage time off requests.
- Promote professional development opportunities for staff to encourage growth.
- Ensure a safe, fun, and educational environment for both children and staff, emphasizing play-based learning.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Experience in childcare management.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with staff and families.
- Must pass a background check.

Job Details:
Location-Elkhart, IA
Pay:$45,000 - $50,000 per year
Job Type:Full-time
Shift:8-hour or 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday (no nights or weekends)
