Sales and Customer Support Associate - Cashier

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Customer Support Specialist and Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer experiences by creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers through their eagerness and sincere willingness to help, in-depth product knowledge, high brand awareness, and efficient execution of operations and various aspects of customer service.

· Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.

· Process customer sales transactions and returns in accordance with established procedures.

· Promote company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, special sales, other sales inventive programs.).

· Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures.

· Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.

· Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customers) feels welcome, safe, and are treated with respect.

· Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.

· Clean up the work area at the end of the shift.

· Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.

· Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 40 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour), and less heavy items numerous times per hour.

· Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 5 hours) standing or walking.

· Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).

· Possesses a high degree of decision-making abilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Store is open 7 days a week

· Hours are 9 AM to 6 PM Monday through Saturday

·Hours on Sunday are 10 AM to 5 PM

· We are in need of teammates to work weekends and afternoons from 2 to close (may be able to accommodate student schedules for the right candidate)

· We conduct background checks of all employees

BENEFITS:

· Hourly wages start at $13 per hour and increase based on experience and performance
