Position Overview
Shoot Smart is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support multiple indoor shooting range locations. This role is responsible for maintaining facility operations, completing repairs, and assisting with preventative maintenance to ensure a safe and reliable environment for customers and staff.
This position is well-suited for individuals with hands-on experience who take pride in their work, can troubleshoot issues efficiently, and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
What You’ll Do
- Perform general maintenance and repairs across multiple facilities, including shooting ranges and retail spaces.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Respond to service requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and operational impact.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Communicate updates on work progress, issues, and completion status.
- Follow all safety policies and applicable regulations.
- You may also assist with:
- HVAC systems and basic controls.
- Plumbing and general facility repairs.
- Mechanical and range-related equipment.
- Basic IT/network troubleshooting.
- Facility upkeep, including grounds and work areas.
- Brass and lead reclamation processes.
All work is documented and tracked using a computerized maintenance system (CMMS).
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems across multiple systems.
- Familiarity with work order systems (UpKeep or similar) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and stay productive with minimal supervision.
- Clear communication and professional conduct.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work for extended periods.
- Ability to safely operate tools and equipment commonly used in maintenance work.
Schedule
- Typically 20 hours per week, with potential for up to 40 hours depending on workload.
- Typically Monday - Friday, 6am-2pm.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight work may be required.
