We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong PCBA and supplier-focused engineering expertise to support the redesign, integration, and lifecycle management of complex Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) within capital medical systems.
This role is part of an acquisition-focused team, working on electrical design integration prior to verification/testing and ensuring smooth system-level alignment across multiple boards.
π§ Key Responsibilities- Support electrical design integration during acquisition activities.
- Perform Tier 2 design work involving discrete components and replacement qualification.
- Conduct component lifecycle & obsolescence analysis; identify and qualify alternatives.
- Update PCB layouts, design files, and documentation for redesign and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, quality, and supplier teams.
- Work with complex electromechanical capital systems containing 7β17 PCBAs per unit.
- Partner with suppliers for global sourcing and compliance in regulated medical environments.
- Bachelorβs degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required).
- 5 years in electrical design, PCBA development, or electronic systems engineering.
- Experience with multi-board system designs.
- Knowledge of component obsolescence, PCB redesign, and design transfer.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Background in capital systems or large electromechanical assemblies.
- Experience collaborating with suppliers and sourcing teams.
