The Data Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions that enable seamless data flow across systems and applications. This role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility by implementing ETL processes, APIs, and integration frameworks. The specialist collaborates with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements, troubleshoot integration issues, and optimize performance. Strong knowledge of data architecture, database technologies, and integration tools is essential for success in this position.
 
Participates in the maintenance and development of all new and existing .Net/SQL databases, applications, and reports.

Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow between systems.

Uses knowledge of relational and object-oriented database technology to help automate processes within the firm and seeks assistance as needed.

Uses skills in data quality analysis to ensure that the integrated data meets the required standards for accuracy and reliability.

Performs requested database administration and system administration functions.

Works with workflow and image-based databases and applications.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of data integration processes, data sources, and data flow diagrams.

Responds to user requests and issues escalated by the firm's support staff in a thorough and timely manner.

May be required to carry a mobile communication device at all times to provide firm personnel with necessary service.

May be on-call on a scheduled basis, 24 hours a day; while on call, remains in a position to receive support requests and answer them quickly and thoroughly in a professional manner.

Participates in the disaster recovery team and may be called upon to help implement that plan.

Participates in the installation of software and training in its use at various firm offices and other locations as needed.

Tracks time in specified intervals, billable and non-billable, and submits this time record as scheduled. Uses effective programming techniques to ensure continuity of firm programming standards.

Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary to facilitate effective teamwork and ensure that integration solutions meet the needs of all parties involved. Communicates courteously and professionally by phone and in person, using good communication skills.

Keeps supervisor abreast of current issues and potential problems as they develop; seeks advice as needed.

Follows adequate safety procedures while carrying out all duties.

Maintains a neat and orderly workplace.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B.S) from four-year college or university in computer science or a related discipline; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of .NET VB and Java Script and relational databases (such as MS SQL); Knowledge of HTML; SQL Server Reporting Services/Power BI or Tableau. Familiarity with various integration tools such as iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service), API gateways, and related data integration solutions is preferred. Proficiency in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) processes is essential for managing data integration tasks effectively. This includes understanding how to unify heterogeneous data across various systems and ensuring data quality during the integration process. A strong understanding of data management principles, including data governance and analytics, is essential. This includes the ability to analyze data flows and identify areas for improvement in integration processes. Technical writing (ability to define an application's scope and objectives and create technical and functional specifications for written documentation). A strong understanding of data management principles, including data governance and analytics, is essential. Application architecture design (ability to organize and design applications, structure code, separate files, set up proper file hosting, and configure databases). Project management (required to frequently work on projects independently). PowerShell experience desired.
