Must have: (one of the following)
· Masters in Early Childhood Education and certified in Birth-2ns Grade.
· Masters working towards certification (Birth-2ND)
· Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and on a Study plan (enrolled in Early Childhood Masters Degree program)
· Enrolled in a Bachelors Early Childhood Program and already completed 90 credits
Start Date: immediate hire
Hours: M-Thurs 8am- 5:00pm Fridays 8am -4PM
Contracts: 10 months or 12 months
Salary: $56,000-$85,000

Experience:
Previous experience working with preschool-aged in a 3k or Pre-K Classroom
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Ensure the health and safety of every child in your care by adhering to the Employee Handbook.
· Guide and facilitate activities of the children, including: daily activities, field trips, selecting and arranging equipment and materials in the classroom.
· Cooperate with other staff and classroom groups to maintain the smooth functioning of the center, which at times may require changes to meet the needs of the children.
· Eat with and assist children in development of social and self-help skills, and sound nutritional practices.
· Guide children's acquisition of social skills.
· Attend staff training and meetings
· Collaborate with other Teachers, Teacher Assistant and volunteers to use and develop their skills and abilities in planning and carrying out classroom activities.
· Maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment.
· Assure that classroom equipment, furniture, materials, and supplies are properly maintained and stored.
· Use the playground as an extension of the classroom; assures that the playground is safe.
· Assist in conducting the daily health and environment checklist.
· Assist in implementing children's I.E.P. (Individual Education Plan) or I.F.S.P. (Individual Family Service Plan) seeking clarification for any aspects that are not well understood
· Complete and submit required forms and records in a timely and accurate fashion, e.g., lesson plans, time sheets, meal reports etc.; While utilizing the DOE curriculum and conducting all that is required in the Teaching Strategies Gold assessment system.
Pay: $56,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
