The Sholom Day Care Inc. operates a Family Child Care Network (FCCN) that serves as an essential resource for more than 40 affiliated child care providers throughout Jamaica, Queens. Our network is dedicated to strengthening family child care programs through education, professional development, technical assistance, and comprehensive support services for children and families.
Open Position: FCCN Education Director
The FCCN Education Director will play a key leadership role in supporting affiliated providers and ensuring high-quality educational programming across the network. This position is ideal for an experienced early childhood education professional who is passionate about coaching, program development, and community impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized technical support and coaching to affiliated providers
- Lead training initiatives focused on business management and educational development
- Support the implementation of educational and social services for children and families
- Assist providers with licensing requirements and regulatory compliance
- Monitor program quality and promote best practices in early childhood education
- Collaborate with providers, families, and community partners to strengthen services
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in early childhood education
- Early Childhood Teaching certification
- Willingness to travel within the FCC Network area for home visits and coaching sessions
Successful completion of background checks
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of teaching experience in early childhood settings
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
(Please note that you are required to be on-site until 5:00 PM and available by phone from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM).
Travel: Candidates must be able to travel to our various provider locations.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
