SUMMARY
The Registered Occupational therapist (OTR) assists clients to improve their ability to perform daily living tasks, basic motor functions and cognitive abilities. Specific duties include:
- Provide evaluation and treatment of various diagnoses/disorders in accordance with physician orders, working directly with clients and caregivers to offer assessment and instruction.
- Develop individualized client care plans conduct client evaluations, and assess the best course of action on a case-by-case basis.
- Instruct clients in the use of adaptive equipment as well as collaborate with the IDT (interdisciplinary team) to ensure adequate and appropriate flow of services.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and organization requirements, completing discharge documentation as directed. Maintain up-to-date programs and techniques to enhance occupational therapy services provided.
- Support various other Rehab responsibilities as needed.
Job Specifications
Education, Experience and Credentials
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in Occupational Therapy required.
• One or more years hands-on experience working with a geriatric population preferred.
• Must be licensed with the State of Minnesota as an Occupational Therapist and must maintain licensure.
• Must be registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• CPR/First Aid certified through American Red Cross required.

Compensation: An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. Shift and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
