Shogun Japanese Steak & Sushi is a fast-growing company that is currently seeking to hire a part-time cashier for our La Verne, CA location. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain a clean and orderly store environment. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older, reliable, and willing to work a flexible schedule. This position requires the ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, be able to speak, read and write English fluently, possess basic math skills, and possess customer service skills. The ability to operate electronic point-of-sale systems is preferred.
Job Duties:
- Check out customers’ purchases using your own personal items or merchandise checker's ticket (as applicable).
- Operate equipment such as point of sale systems, cash registers, etc., in a safe manner, accurately record transactions in an electronic bookkeeper system, and ensure all equipment is returned to its proper place after use.
- Perform other store duties as assigned by management team members or supervisors.
