The Sr. Analyst, FP&A is responsible for providing the Finance team with analysis to understand financial and operating aspects of the business and assess performance. This position reports to the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis but will have regular interaction with and will provide support to departmental leaders and corporate accounting.
Essential job functions to be performed:
- Financial analysis prepare and present analysis of actual results, forecasts and trends. Leverage analytical tools to quickly access data and present meaningful, concise information with recommendations for action.
- Forecasting compile and analyze forecasts compared to actual results, annual budgets and previous forecasts
- Annual budgeting assist in the development of the corporations annual consolidated budget process. Preparation and presentation of the budgets, coordinating assumptions with management and finance.
- Financial modeling prepare financial models based on company financial statements and metrics, estimating the impact of business opportunities and changes in business operations
- Process Improvement continuously develop enhancements to FP&A systems and process. Assist with other process development and change projects in Finance and throughout the company.
Requirements/Qualifications/Experience
- 5 years or more relevant progressive experience preferably in Retail, Corporate Finance or related field with some accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills, and proficient in Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective interpersonal skills with all levels of the company
- Proficiency with financial software and systems preferably Netsuite, Tableau & Hyperion/Smart View/Essbase
- Process minded, focused on continuous improvement
- Budgeting and forecasting experience
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Exhibits resourcefulness and ownership, as well as business acumen
Education:
- BS in Finance or Accounting
- CPA/MBA preferred
