Description
Shodair is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day, monthly, and annual accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as well as federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is comfortable handling complex financial data.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Performs monthly account reconciliations as assigned and makes necessary adjusting journal entries.
• Record month end journal entries and other transactions necessary for financial statement preparation
• Record daily journal entries from billing program
• Maintain the fixed asset and depreciation journals.
• Assist with various payroll week activities
• Set up, update and maintain various Excel spreadsheet documents as needed.
• Assists in the preparations for the annual financial and 403(b) audits and related 990s and 5500s
• Provide back up for payroll and A/P functions.
• Provide back up for weekly supply ordering.
• Other duties as assigned

- This position is required to be onsite in Helena, MT.
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare or nonprofit accounting
- CPA license (or progress toward certification)
