Must have experience with CNC Press Brake and Laser Operator experience Position Summary: A CNC Operator, or CNC Machine Operator, is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of manufacturing machinery. Their duties include running tests before the start of operations, Operator will load, unload, and inspect parts during the machining process. Operator will be responsible for the quality of the parts being produced and for achieving production standards. This position requires de-burring, polishing, punching out, and cleaning parts at the machine on some work. Inspecting machinery at the end of each shift to identify parts needing repair. CNC Laser Cutter and/or CNC Press Brake experience required. Position Responsibilities: This position requires de-burring, polishing, punching out, and cleaning parts at the machine on some work. Operates CNC machines with routine supervision. Must have experience with CNC Press Brake and Laser Operator experience Performs basic math calculations, including addition and subtraction of decimals. Metric to imperial conversions. Maintains dimensional tolerances between ±.0003”-.005” or greater. Interprets basic dimensions on a print. Utilizes precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, angle finders/protractors, etc. Loads, unloads, and inspects parts being machined while maintaining published PPH. Operates a minimum of 1 bar feed lathe, a Mill, plate laser, tube laser, CNC Press brake, CNC mandrel bender, 5 axis CNC router along with performing secondary operations. Maintains accurate part counts, fills out Box Tags, and Job/Quantity Tracker. Reports and asks supervisor/lead for assistance with any machining problems. Follows documented operator procedures such as inspection check sheets and posted operator notes Maintains a clean work area and observes all safety procedures Can execute machine offsets and insert changes with direction of supervisor or lead-person. Produces parts with less than 2% scrap rate on a consistent basis. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality Practices safe work habits, maintains clean working environment, and performs routine preventative maintenance and other duties as directed Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required: Effective time management and organizational skills. Detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking. Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities. Safety oriented Must be able to lift-up to 50 pounds Education: HS graduate or equivalent. Experience: No experience required. 1 yrs. prior experience preferred, working with controls and instrumentation, equipment maintenance CNC Laser Cutter and/or CNC Press Brake experience Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Activity Constantly - 6 hours : Stand, Walk, Twist/Turn, Stoop/Bend, Squat, Kneel Frequently - 3 to 6 hrs. : Lift to 50 lbs.
