A Day in the Office Looks Like This :

The Human Resources Coordinator is an important member of the firm, critical not only to assisting with effectively recruiting new employees but also retaining our immensely talented existing team members. As the Human Resources Coordinator, the incumbent contributes to the improvement and enhancement of our firm by helping to maintain a healthy and accepting workplace culture and environment. The overarching goal of this role is to handle the day-to-day HR-related transactions that keep our administrative and design staff producing at their peak levels. Ultimately, the Human Resources Coordinator is vital to the smooth operations of the Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate will have the desire to learn and grow in the role and progress along a career path as the firm continues to grow.

  • Recruitment Assistance : Posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates and hiring managers
  • Onboarding Coordination : Assisting with new hire orientation and paperwork and ensuring a smooth transition for employees
  • Policy Communication : Answering employee questions about company policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Data Entry and Reporting : Maintaining HR records within Paylocity as well as across benefit providers’ platforms, tracking employee information, and generating reports
  • Compliance Monitoring : Ensuring employee records are current and compliant with labor laws and company standards
  • Immigration : Assisting with all immigration and visa processes and documentation utilizing outside counsel.
  • Event Support : Helping plan and organize weekly, quarterly, and annual firm events
  • General Administrative Support : Including but not limited to being the primary back-up support for the receptionist
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Do You Have the Skills and Experience? Here’s What We’re Looking For :

  • Understanding and exposure to human resource information systems (HRIS) software and management tools, such as Paylocity
  • Proficient software skills in Microsoft Office 365 suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and other platforms like Zoom
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the firm and with outside third parties in an articulate, professional manner
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking skills, be detail-oriented, have a friendly and professional demeanor, and thrive in supportive roles
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and prioritize workload
  • Possesses a high level of professional integrity by taking pride, ownership, responsibility, and accountability for self and outcomes
  • Functions as a positive influence in the office environment

  • Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment

    We work in a collaborative, indoor office environment at the top of the historic Meadows Building at Energy Square. This is a great location with quick access to US-75 and the Lovers Lane DART Station practically on site.

    Normal work hours are 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 30 PM Central Monday through Friday with one hour for lunch, but we are flexible if our business and customers’ needs remain priority #1. Occasionally, there may be a need to work outside of normal work hours or weekends to meet business needs. Some local travel may be required.

    Physical Demands

    This is a largely sedentary role and requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, operate a keyboard, and communicate clearly and effectively on the phone, in-person, and via written communication.

    Work Authorization Requirement

    Must be authorized to work in the US when an offer of employment is accepted. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment verification form (Form I-9) upon hire.

    Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related business field
  • 0-2 years of experience working in an HR Department, which could include internships
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), preferred, or have the desire to pursue certification
  • Enjoys the variety of being an HR generalist, rather than a specialist, with the ability to handle multiple tasks across different areas of human resources
  • Professional appearance and attitude

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Superb organizational skills with attention to detail
