Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in home and community settings, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care.
- Foster effective communication and build rapport with clients to enhance their quality of life.
- Implement behavior management strategies and support plans tailored to individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any incidents, ensuring compliance with care standards.
- Collaborate with team members and participate in training sessions to improve caregiving skills.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in home and community care
- Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Direct support experience with individuals with disabilities
- Familiarity with behavioral health and behavior management techniques
- No prior experience required; training will be provided
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
