CNC Lathe Programmer Operator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience programming and operating CNC lathes specifically Mazak, DMG Mori, and Doosan machines to produce high-quality components that meet tight tolerances and production goals. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret complex blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities:

Programming

• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for Mazak, DMG Mori, and Doosan lathes using Esprit/Fusion 360 CAM software and G-code
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to create efficient and accurate machining programs
• Continuously refine existing programs to improve productivity, reduce cycle times, and maintain quality standards
  
  

Setup & Operation

• Set up CNC lathes according to job specifications, including tool selection, offsets, workholding, and machine parameters
• Operate lathes to produce precision components within specified tolerances
• Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency
  
  

Quality Assurance

• Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Identify and resolve machining issues related to tool wear, material inconsistencies, or equipment performance
• Maintain accurate setup sheets, tooling records, and production documentation
  
  

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with engineers, production staff, and quality control to ensure smooth workflow and meet production deadlines
• Provide technical support and guidance to other operators when needed
  
  

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator
• Proficiency with Mazak, DMG Mori, and Doosan lathes
• In-depth understanding of CNC machining principles, tooling, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T
• Proficiency with Esprit/Fusion 360 CAM software and G-code programming
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in machining is a plus
