- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for Mazak, DMG Mori, and Doosan lathes using Esprit/Fusion 360 CAM software and G-code
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to create efficient and accurate machining programs
- Continuously refine existing programs to improve productivity, reduce cycle times, and maintain quality standards
- Set up CNC lathes according to job specifications, including tool selection, offsets, workholding, and machine parameters
- Operate lathes to produce precision components within specified tolerances
- Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency
- Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Identify and resolve machining issues related to tool wear, material inconsistencies, or equipment performance
- Maintain accurate setup sheets, tooling records, and production documentation
- Work closely with engineers, production staff, and quality control to ensure smooth workflow and meet production deadlines
- Provide technical support and guidance to other operators when needed
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator
- Proficiency with Mazak, DMG Mori, and Doosan lathes
- In-depth understanding of CNC machining principles, tooling, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T
- Proficiency with Esprit/Fusion 360 CAM software and G-code programming
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in machining is a plus
