Waitress (Restaurant & Hookah Lounge)

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and personable Server to join our vibrant restaurant and hookah lounge team. In this role, you will be the friendly face that welcomes guests, takes orders, and ensures an exceptional dining experience. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Take accurate food, beverage, and hookah orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and baristas
• Upsell menu items, including specialty drinks and premium hookah flavors, to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or traditional cashiering methods
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and lounge spaces by bussing tables and assisting with sanitation protocols in accordance with food safety standards
• Provide knowledgeable guest relations by answering questions about menu items, ingredients, and lounge offerings to foster guest satisfaction and loyalty

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for efficient order processing and cashiering
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally
• Experience in food handling, food safety practices, and sanitation procedures within a restaurant or food industry setting
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining quality service
• Knowledge of upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities without pressuring guests
• Previous experience in fine dining or nightclub environments is a plus for creating an upscale yet relaxed atmosphere
• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, host/host team members, and management to ensure seamless operations
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and bill splitting while maintaining attention to detail in transactions
