We are hiring a dependable and hard-working Kennel Technician to manage afternoon care, cleaning, and closing duties.
This role is the backbone of our daily operations and requires someone who can work independently, efficiently, and confidently with dogs.
Pay & Schedule
- Starting at $16/hour
- 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Friday through Sunday
- Includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
Responsibilities
Facility & Cleaning
- Deep cleaning outdoor kennel runs (with proper sanitation procedures)
- Bedding changes and laundry
- Maintaining clean and sanitary conditions throughout the day
Animal Care
- Afternoon potty rotations
- Individual play and enrichment (no group play)
- Dinner feeding and medications
- Monitoring dogs for health and behavior
Front Desk (as needed)
- Assisting with check-ins and check-outs
- Answering phones and client questions
Closing Duties
- Bringing dogs inside for the evening (~6:45 PM)
- Final potty rounds
- Scooping and rinsing outdoor runs
- Ensuring all animals are safe, comfortable, and accounted for
Ideal Candidate
- Confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong work ethic and able to stay on task without supervision
- Comfortable working both physically and mentally throughout the day
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- Able to balance cleaning, animal care, and occasional client interaction
