Role Description This full-time Surgical Nurse role is an on-site position based in Chattanooga, TN. The Surgical Nurse will support facial plastic surgery procedures and in office appointments. In addition to preparing the operating room, organizing instruments and supplies, and assisting the surgeon throughout pre-operative and post-operative phases. The Surgical Nurse will also provide direct patient care, educate patients and families on surgical aftercare, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with clinical standards and regulations. Collaboration with surgeon, anesthesiology professionals, and clinic staff is essential to ensure safety, efficiency, and a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in medicine and nursing principles relevant to surgical and outpatient care.
- Experience assisting with surgery and perioperative workflows in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and patient education.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee (or ability to obtain) and current BLS/ACLS certification.
- Previous experience in surgical nursing, plastic surgery, ENT, or related specialty preferred.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with attention to safety and detail.
- Ability to work on-site full time, adapt to changing clinical needs, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
