We are seeking a caring, dependable, and flexible Toddler Assistant Teacher / Floater to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with young children, enjoys supporting multiple classrooms, and values collaboration, consistency, and compassionate caregiving.
Responsibilities
- Support toddler classrooms by partnering with lead teachers to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment.
- Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play, music, sensory experiences, and daily routines.
- Assist with daily caregiving tasks such as diapering, toileting, meals, rest time, and transitions while following all health, safety, and licensing guidelines.
- Maintain clean, organized, and inviting classroom environments in all assigned rooms.
- Serve as a floater, providing coverage and support across classrooms as needed to ensure smooth daily operations and continuity of care.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Support documentation and observations of children’s growth and developmental milestones.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in
- Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with toddlers and/or young children in a childcare or educational setting strongly preferred.
- Understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education is a plus.
- Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Warm, patient, and nurturing personality with a genuine love for working with young children.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
