Retail Sales Associate

Shipping Point in Gurnee is a locally owned and operated full-service shipping and printing store. We have an immediate opening for an energetic customer focused Retail Customer Service Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a positive upbeat attitude and be personable and friendly to support our customers in a retail location. * $20 hourly. Health insurance available. *Paid vacation and paid holidays after 90 days. 401k and health insurance eligibility after 90 days. Year end bonuses and annual raises.

Hours- 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Alternating Saturdays 8:45am-4:15pm. 32-40 hrs per week

General Duties and Responsibilities

(This is a representative list of the general duties the position may be asked to perform, and is not intended to be all-inclusive)

Assist walk in customers with shipping and printing orders, sorting mail and packages and preparing packages for shipment.

• Provides walk in customers expertise in multiple shipping product lines, printing, mailing and packaging services.
• Operating point of sale
• Packing boxes for shipment
• Minimum 25 wpm typed and technically proficient with computer system

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

• Retail Customer Service experience
• Proficient in basic computer skills, accessing emails, printing documents and typing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Valid Drivers License and reliable vehicle

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must be able to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
• Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
• Must maintain a positive attitude
• Punctuality and reliability are a must
• Must be consistent in attendance to maintain established business hours

Requirements:
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred
- Ability to learn technical sales information related to products and services
- Friendly and approachable demeanor with strong communication skills
